Purpose

Direct Operations (As defined by Wikipedia)
In the context of military special operations, direct action (DA) consists of: "Short-duration strikes and other small-scale offensive actions conducted as a special operation in hostile, denied, or politically sensitive environments and which employ specialized military capabilities to seize, destroy, capture, exploit, recover, or damage designated targets. Direct action differs from conventional offensive actions in the level of physical and political risk, operational techniques, and the degree of discriminate and precise use of force to achieve specific objectives."

Welcome to Eclipse, trooper! I am your squad leader, 2nd Lieutenant Norith Skarr. You don't have to call me sir or Lieutenant outside of stories, you can just refer to me as Skarr. I decided to create this section in our wiki to let you know how things run in Eclipse. Now this is the first time I have attempted this, so please bear with me as I may be throwing irrelevant as well as relevant information at you. With the creation of this squad, I intended to take it in a new direction from the other squads. I wanted to make it something different, something that no other squad is. Essentially, I wanted a fun squad that people wanted to be in. But of course, there are things that are the same with each squad. The first are weekly reports. Weekly reports are in effect to give the squad leader and the assistant squad leader an idea of what you've been doing in a given week. For Eclipse these reports are due Thursday, but I will accept reports as late as 12:00 PM EST on Saturday. I would prefer your report to be in the same format as the Academy has you do, but you may use whatever format you wish.

I also give the squad a report. I will give these on Saturday and they will be posted on the squad topic on Comnet. This will allow the squad to see what news I have for them and also gives them information on what's been going on in the story.

Fire Team Umbra

From time to time, Eclipse has need of an extra attachment. Be it for cannon fodder, or for something more serious. There is always a need. When that need arises, Umbra is called upon. Umbra has a different life outside of Eclipse. They are part of the regular army, but are given Stormie training. As a result, they are the best in their normal squad. Yet, they are the worst in a SCOPE squad. These SCOPE hopefuls, are in Umbra for that purpose, to become, what we are, and to serve without question.

Corporal Beta [TRP] Species: Human Distinguishing Physical Characteristics: Tall, filled out, dark brown short hair, full beard, usually dark heavy bags under eyes Personality Profile: Stubborn Quiet Hard to find trust Mysterious atmosphere around him Not often found talking about anything but business to any but a certain few Lance Corporal Razorsedge[TRP] Species: Zabrak Distinguishing Physical Characteristics: Personality Profile: Adept with long ranged weapons, pistols, explosive, and an assortment of heavy weaponry. Likes to kill silently and sneakily. His choice loadout has both hand to hand weapons and sniper rifles. Languages: Huttese and Basic Phyiscal: Average height for a human but with a horny head. Lance Corporal Thengil [TRP] Species: Cathar Distinguishing Physical Characteristics: A dark-purple burn stretches around his face, covering portions of the cheek, eye, and reaching back towards the ear. His build is typical of a pure blooded Cathar, huge biceps and forearms, large chest, legs built for running across plains. His appearance is more lion-like than most Cathar, given his base line genes. Personality Profile: Loyal Without Question: Now that he is fully settled with having to serve the Empire, Thengil is loyal to the Empire until his dying breath. He would die before he saw it dishonored. High Moral Standard: Thengil has very high moral values instilled into him by his family and society. Albeit, some of these standards have been twisted by The Purest. Again, it seems he would rather die than these values. Hot Blooded: Whenever Thengil speaks it is often with passion and fervor. He will often give heated voice to a subject he feels strongly on. Compulsive: Thengil often acts based on instinct or emotional reactions that he has difficulty controlling due to his hot blooded nature. Noble: Thengil fights, lives, and dies for the survival of his comrades and ideals, as well as those of the Vast Empire. He would abhor the idea of killing an unarmed being. Sees Red: Occasionally Thengil will become enraged in battle, dangerous to both friend and foe alike Claustrophobic: Thengil hates small spaces as he is used to the wide open savannah of his homeworld. Even putting on his armor is a challenge for him that he must overcome.
