The Fourteenth Fleet is among the newest of the Vast Empire's naval units. It's dedicated mission is the patrol and protection of many of the trade lanes that connect the worlds that make up the Vast Empire's planets and allies in it's sectors of space.

Task Force 140[edit]
TF 140 is the primary battle force of the Fleet and is composed of the majority of the heavy capital craft and escort vessels
Task Force 141[edit]
TF 141 is composed of patrol units and is the most visible element of the Fleet. Composed primarily of light cruisers and smaller patrol craft, it is a key element to the safety of the 14th's mission.

A major part of the duty roles of the 14th Fleet is defense of the frontier trade lanes. Elements of TF 148 are responsible for establishing mine fields and other interdiction/defense grids as well as discovering and decommissioning either earlier extant or newly-implemented threats to safe passage.
