History[edit]
Born during the rise of the Empire on Tadath, he was a first child of three, oldest of three boys and the first son of two government workers. Well off, with excellent grades, star athlete and top of his class, he seemed destined to succeed. He joined the military right out of high school.
He did horribly in the military, having problems in the army, where he "lacked discipline" and was a "loose cannon." The Starfighter Corps snapped up the man with a rebellious streak and put him in the cockpit of a TIE fighter. He was instantly at home.
Godby served with honor in several major campaigns, and received several promotions. Matured, he ended his first tour of duty and signed up for a less dangerous posting. He was assigned to Blackjack, as someone with a sick sense of humor thought a posting with them would be safer than combat-flying.
