Navy Specialization Courses

The Mission

The goal of the Navy Specialization Course program is to provide a more in-depth and enjoyable writing experience for pilots. While it is not required that a pilot choose a specialty, doing so can jump start a career and provide excellent experience, not to mention material to use in Squadron stories and even competitions.

Requirements

There are a few basic requirements that must be met before a pilot can choose a specialty. Requirements include:

• Two weeks of active VEN squadron service, not counting Basic Training
• Has passed Basic Training and completed the Aviator's Exam
• Has spoken with a Vast Empire Naval Academy Staff member about his or her choice
• Has approved specialty choice with Squadron Commander or Executive Officer
