Biography

Appearance

Not the most brawny individual, Noose is a little scrawny. Life on the streets didn't give him much of a chance to gain a gym membership. His hair, usually long and falling down to his shoulders, is jet-black, specked with little bits of gray in various places. His skin is slightly tanned from the lush climate of Kuat. He is nearly always carrying a manic grin across his face, which (along with the rest of his body) is dotted with permanent bruises from his time in the rough life of a street urchin.

Personality

While not the most loyal individual, Noose does have his own moral code. If you gain his trust and respect, he will be with you till the end. Apart from that though, his loyalty usually runs out along with the money. Life was hard on the streets, and trust wasn't an easy thing to gain. Credits were usually the things that would get things done. If you had them. Noose kept himself alive anyway he could. If that meant stealing, so be it. He never did venture as far as murder though. Thats where his morals will draw the line. But everything else was fair game.

His life among the streets toughened him up. It was dog-eat-dog out there, and in some of the more extreme and rare cases, human-eat-human. It definitely changed him. Madness had crept in to his mind, although it didn't have a proper grasp on it. Mainly, he was just eccentric and unpreditable, with a slightly twisted sense of humour.

History

Early Life

Noose grew up on the streets of Kuat. He remembered nothing else except fending for himself. He didn't remember his parents, whether he had siblings or even his name. He has come to the conclusion that he wasn't given one. Noose grew up with a group of friends that had found him one day. Apparently, he had been found with a piece of rope hung loosely around his neck. Thats how he had gotten his nickname. Now, he uses it as his real name. And he has kept that piece of rope ever since, never taking it off from around his neck.

The Streets

Life was hard on the streets of Kuat. Many people would sooner sell you out for a crumb and a piece of soap. Many had already gone insane and decided that they would do anything to eat. Anything. Only the tough survived and the weak had no place there. Of course, the authorities knew nothing of the dark underworld that tore itself apart underneath their gaze. Vagrancy was a crime punishable by law. But, no one was ever charged with it. What person in the right mind would check the sewers?

So, that's were Noose slept and lived, along with his rag-tag group of miscreants, venturing above during the day to find food and to entertain themselves. Occasionally, they would have to run from police who noticed them stealing food from stalls or other acts of the sort. But, Noose was never caught. Granted, he had had a few close runs, but he had never been arrested. He knew the city like the back of his hand.

Exodus

Eventually however, the authorities would not remain ignorant. They eventually found out about the dark underworld beneath them and brought down their iron fist upon it. Those who resisted arrest were sent to the afterlife, those who didn't would meet worse fates inside the prisons of Kuat. Noose didn't plan to go to either. Upon hearing the screams of fellow vagrants and the yells of invading police, he gathered his friends and ran. The police were close behind. Two of his group were picked off as they sprinted along the straight sections of the sewers. Another two as they lagged behind, out of breath. Eventually, there was only himself. He reached the surface after another few close calls, not stopping and sprinting away to the nearest place he could hole up in.

When dawn came, he knew that there was no where left to go. The sewers, his home and refuge, was no longer safe. He would not survive long on the surface, with police roaming it daily. He knew he had to go somewhere. But, it wasn't Kuat. He had to go somewhere else. So, he stowed away in the next transport leaving Kuat and left it behind forever.

Drink Up Me Hearties, Yo Ho

Dozens of planets he ventured to, and dozens of planets he left behind. None he was able to settle in. So, he passed through the galaxy, begging where he could and performing menial tasks to earn money. Until, he heard of a group of enterprising individuals making quite a name for themselves. The Osk Company. They seemed like his type of people. Yes, he would make a name for himself, and he would earn his keep there. Besides, if experience was anything to go by, there would be rum. And everybody loves rum.

The Proeliator

The Proeliator
Noose has recently bought a Cutlass-9 Patrol Fighter, the Proeliator. Brought to one of his acquaintances, it had been heavily modified more for speed and maneuverability than protection and weapons. Although, a few days before purchase, Noose wouldn't have known how to fly the thing, he has been learning through trial and error and a few contacts which have given him the basics. Needless to say, the Proeliator already looks weathered and beaten, which strangely makes it look more attractive than it ever could have been at purchase.

With a x0.8 hyperdrive and a modified sublight speed of 125 MGLT, the Proeliator is undoubtedly a fast ship. And it isn't the worst when it comes to weapons either. Two laser cannons and a projectile torpedo launcher can pack quite a punch. With the Cutlass-9's relitively weak hull and shields, it has also been modified for more protection for the craft, but not as much as the speed.
