Brief[edit]
Created by Naval members Willtconq and Demonic for Kaph Squadron, the Hellfire-class Escort Carrier, Tiamut is a ship designed for limited independent operations. Combining heavy weapons and a sizeable starfighter component, the Tiamut is capable of long self-sustained missions not usual in this class of capital vessel. The ship was named by Demonic, Tiamut being the name of a mythical creature. It is currently captained by former Imperial Navy Pilot Willtconq. Half of the crew consists of members of the Krayt Empress. The other half is formed by battle droids also owned by Willtconq. The carrier is capable of stowing three full squadrons of fighters, as well as many more through storage. It acted as a mobile base for Kaph Squadron, as well as home to members of Kaph Squadrons' many personal fighters. Due to Kaph Squadron not currently being in use, it currently has no ties to Kaph Squadron (Minus the ship's history). Also, it is currently not listed as a squadron in use.
Construction[edit]
The Hellfire-class Escort Carrier is truely an one-of-a-kind. Funded by Willtconq, it was built in the shipyards of Etchik, a rather small shipyard that does private orders. So far as anyone know, only one Hellfire-class ship was ever produced. Thus, it costed Willtconq substantially more than if done through a mass order. But the ship was eventually completed, and fully paid for, twenty million Imperial Credits.
Physical Features[edit]
- The nose of the ship forks into two parts.
- Three hangers, one on either side of the ship, and one in front.
- The front hangers opens to the back end of the fork in the nose of the ship.
- The three hangers are all connected, but can be seperated by large blast doors.
- Two spherical domes are near the front.
- The parts of the domes are "cut away" where the fork in the nose is.
- There is an observation tower to the rear of the ship, acting as the decoy for the bridge.
- The bridge is situated above the front hanger opening.
- The auxilary bridge is situated below the front hanger opening.
- The ship is powered by five ion engines, one large central for propulsion, and four to
the sides for maneuver.
- The surfaces of the ship is slanted like the surfaces of Imperial-class Star Destroyers.
- The weapon systems are placed through out the ship, escort cannons for anti-fighter,
and turbo lasers on the sides for capital ship vs. capital ship.
- There are six escape pods placed through out the ship.
