Background History[edit]

It was unknown exactly when Constantine was born, but it is speculated that he alone knows. Although he grew up on Falleen, from his early teens and up, he lived on the Aviator as one of the crew. It had all stemmed from an incident during his late childhood. He had finished up school for the day and came home. As soon as he entered his house, he knew something was wrong. Muffled sobs came from his parent's room, which drew him like a bug to flame. He walked in and saw his dad on his knees, cradling his mom in his arms, who wasn't moving and was covered with blood. He later learned that his mom had attacked a robber that had broke into the house and, startled, the robber killed her and fled the scene. They never found the killer and Constantine's dad took to drinking his problems away. He slowly spiraled out of control until he fell seriously ill and was put into a hospital. A few days later, he was dead. Constantine and his father never did have a close relationship and it had only worsened as his liver slowly eroded away. As soon as he found out that his father had died, he gathered up a lot of stuff in his house, pawned it off, and ran away with the money and what valuables he had wanted to keep. He found passage with a ship's captain that was in dire need of a few hardworking crewmembers.

Three years later, he was one of the most trusted crewmembers on the ship and was the first mate in all but name. The actual first mate never did anything and constantly abused his power, lording over the other crewmembers behind the captain's back. Constantine never feared the first mate like the rest of the crewmembers because he knew that no matter what, the captain had his back and would believe him. Soon enough, the attention that Constantine was receiving from the captain drew the ire of the first mate, who began to devote most of his time to making Constantine's life a living hell. Constantine endured it for a while until it finally began to get too much and he snapped. In a fit of rage, he attacked the first mate and strangled the man with his bare hands. Although the Captain loved Constantine like a son, this took it a step too far. The captain gave Constantine an ultimatum, either leave the ship forever or face execution. Constantine chose to leave at the next supply stop and walked off the Aviator for the last time in his life. He didn't look back.
