Personality

Felicity is cocky, mischievous, and generally positive. Being the youngest of four, she found many ways to bend the rules so that she wouldn’t get in trouble, and she became good at it. She always loves the thrill of competition, and she rarely backs down when someone challenges her. When she is in a team she tends to try to make herself the positive cheerleader. When it comes to social life though, Felicity has a way of either making great friends or terrible enemies because she doesn’t always watch her tongue. She received the nickname “Treble” because she was so small and her voice was fairly high-pitched. She is also very persistent and unafraid of a challenge whether it’s mental or otherwise.

History

Felicity was born on Najarka to Kale and Soren Merran. They lived on the equator in about the only livable city. Soren worked for the Imperial Biological Research Center located there, and Kale stayed at home. Felicity had two older brothers and one older sister named Thorin, Brev, and Marka respectively. Thorin worked alongside his dad while Brev went off to explore the different worlds and be his own man (Their family sometimes wonders if he tried to join the NR). Marka stayed at home with mom and became engaged to a man on Najarka. Felicity found her own way of life on the frozen planet though. She enjoyed ganging up with the boys and playing pranks on people, especially travelers. She loved to bend the rules where she could in order to keep out of trouble in a technical sense of the word. Her mother always reprimanded her, but Felicity could not be kept at bay. When Felicity reached the age of 13, she ran off with the gang of boys – like she always did—to go and cause more trouble. Unfortunately, they decided to attack the Imperial Biological Research Center. Treble’s dad became enraged and took her home. They had, unintentionally, destroyed part of her dad’s research project. Soren Merran was fired from his job at the center, and Treble was held solely responsible. Her parents put her under a heavy lockdown, keeping her from ever going out again. They began to treat her so badly over the years that, one night, Treble figured a way to leave the house without them knowing. She took off with the same band of boys and they all headed off into space. They began planet hopping; stealing as they went as well as messing around with NR forces. They eventually end up on Abra. While there, they are captured by NR forces and Treble meets up with her brother, Brev, who has been sent after them. One of their many excursions involved the stealing of NR material and the killing of a couple soldiers.

Eventually, while they are being moved, Treble and the rest of the gang escape though not without the loss of a few lives on both sides. During this time they call their group Essenvar after the founding member, Davrik Essenvar who is also Treble’s best friend. They become more of a presence throughout the different worlds. They try to make the New Republic’s life more difficult if they can. Brev continues to go after Essenvar and eventually everything culminates on Javin. The New Republic keeps them on the planet and corners them after several days. Several members are captured. Brev and Treble fight it out which ends up in the scar she has on the back of her hand. She then is captured by him and is forced to watch as the members of Essenvar are corralled into a trap and then killed. Treble manages to escape, and she finds Davrik who became separated from the group. The two, joined by another surviving member, steal away from the planet and head off to hide somewhere else. From there the three take their own paths and Treble travels on her own back to Najarka. She finds that her family has disappeared though, and the rumors going around leave her wondering if they’re even alive.

With not much else to do and a healthy hatred of the New Republic, Treble decides to enlist in the Vast Empire Army at the age of 23.
