Personality:

A soldier very dutiful to the Corps and is willing to do whatever needs to be done in a mission. A humorous, but proud man, glad to be part of the Imperial Army. Unfortunately, as he 'matures' he seems to grow more and more unbalanced. He can be openly inconsiderate of his peers, soldiers under his command and COs. A Brave and intelligent soldier. He's a good friend to men he's known for a while, and feels more open to people he can associate with.

History:

Born to Corellian parents, he has always known nothing better than middle class. During his childhood, a boisterous, happy, and energetic child; always a leader, running around with his friends. During the children’s wars, they would act out a Stormtrooper legion and a group of terrorists or other enemies of the Empire. He was always the leader of the Stormtrooper squads, and he generally won.

At age 14, he began to work part-time for the Imperial garrison ranging from a clerk to a personal assistant to several officers. At age 15, a veteran soldier on the cusp of retirement took him under his wing. He learned how to shoot, to fight hand-to-hand, and how to treat a wound proficiently. However, he was still too young to fulfill his life-long dream: to join the elite Stormtrooper divisions.

When he was 17, his parents both died at work when a terrorist blew up the building and held several other people hostage. The garrison of Stormtroopers was notified right away, and the response was instantaneous. During the 3 day siege, the terrorist shot at the Stormtroopers, killing Garryll’s mentor and wounding several others. Eventually the man was shot and later executed. Gates, at the loss of every guardian he knew, was even more motivated to join the Stormtroopers. Finally, at age 18, he got his chance. He joined up and was shipped off to an academy.

Military History:

He has served in the Dark Dragoons (Rising from PFC to Sergeant) and BlackJack (Where he is currently Senior Sergeant and ASL) squads.

In BlackJack, he has helped put down terrorist groups on Bakura and Balmorra, and most recently, Admuri.

In the Dark Dragoons, he has served in the Cleoggi, Yuka, and Tomor campaigns.

Physical Features:

25 years old. Stands at 6 feet and 3 inches, quite tall and lean, weighing 198 pounds. He has short, military crew-cut cropped hair, black with a thin stripe of silver running down the middle. Clean shaven and blue eyes with a long nose serve the man justice of an aristocrat that he never was. Almost always in uniform, his long arms and legs provide him with athleticism difficult to do with a smaller frame.

Traits:

A very good marksmen due to his head start training. Good with a rifle, better with a sniper rifle, and best with heavy weapons, he is still adept with every run-of-the-mill infantry weapon. Good hand-to-hand combat training. He trusts his officers explicitly, and is easily overridden by Commanding officers. However, he also displays a reckless streak the length of a Star Destroyer; he has been labeled as slightly unstable in combat, a blood-thirsty, trigger-happy pyromaniac. It has been theorized by several doctors it is his scarred teenage years, losing all three guardians in one fell swoop. This does not prevent him from serving, as his SLs and comrades consider him a capable soldier.
