Bio[edit]
Appearance[edit]
IG-88/e started out like any other IG series assassin droid. He had the elongated head, the built in weapons, everything. But after a slight accident that destroyed most of his body, his savior, Searchboy, had to improvise. Now starting from the top, he has a head that belonged to one of the original IG-100 series droids, his original torso, which has been patched up and has a GNK series battery which means he can go for long times with no problem. His arms and legs also belonged to an IG-100 series droid, but his hands were updated to contain interface jacks for computers. He sports a Mandolorian helmet to show his determination to avenge the death of his brethren. He also integrated the jetpack and wrist weaponry from the Mandolorian he killed for the helmet. He usually carries a blaster rifle and vibro axe slung over his shoulder.
Personality[edit]
Most droids don't have a personality, but because of his sentience programming, IG has developed quirks. The one thing that drives him nuts is when he loses or he meets a Mandolorian, especially Boba Fett. He still holds a grudge. He holds what you might call a life-debt to Searchboy.
History[edit]
IG-88/e started his "life" on Mechis III after the droids left over heard of IG-88's demise and fall. He was a last resort. He was programmed to study Human life and determine where they went wrong, and try again. He started his "life" as a smuggler crewman, shipping cargo for the Imperial Remnant. One day, they were loading up a fresh load of ordanance on the ship when, a fleet of New Republic ships shot out of hyperspace closer than normal. They opened fire on the vessel almost immediatly. IG-88/e calculated his chances for success and found favor in the decision of running, so he took off for the nearest escape pod and jettisoned. As the ship exploded, a chunk of the leftover debris struck his tiny life-raft, shutting down systems and sending him careening away at full speed. The blast had been enough to knock IG-88 unconcious, or as close to it as a droid could get to it as his systems shorted out one by one. The only thing he had in his memory banks after the incident is powering up in a small room and sensing that his body only contained about half of his original mass. A man was standing over him with a hydrospanner opening him up and plugging things in. Soon after IG-88 learned the man's name and that he had found him in a junk pile of old droids while salvaging wrecks in space. He had drifted for a while in the pod before they picked him up. When all his functionality returned, he noticed that in order for him to be saved, pieces had to be salvaged from other droids, including his predecessor the IG-100 series. In the accident his original progamming for the droid uprising was not salvaged, but he was still an efficent hunter and pilot. After some time he decided it was logical to follow this man, Searchboy, and they joined the Navy. He only got in because they needed pilots bad. He hopes that one day he can get a basilisk war droid and integrate himself with it.
