Squadron Profile

Jexxel Squadron had been an example of the 'old style' Imperial Starfighter Squadron, drilled and conditioned for total obedience to their commander and entirely reliant on him for direction and strategy. Fortunately, their commander had been everything they could have wished for, and in their short time of existence, this "old-fashioned" Squadron had done rather well for itself until more recently.

With the death of Markus Wolfrott, Jexxel squadron has been re-branded as a squadron of mentors, vets being paired with the less experienced pilots. Through their weaknesses, they intend to persevere, helping the younger of the pack grow to be the strongest. Hence their motto, "Through weakness, we are strong."

Squadron Specialisation

Recently equipped with Interceptor MK II's, Jexxel's specialization lies in their recent re-branding. With the induction of a new SCO and two flights worth of transferred and new members, Jexxel lost its reputation of the rival squadron and the squadron who relied only on their commander. Instead they plan to focus on the survival of each other through a student/mentor relationship. In this, they believe they can turn their weakness into strength.

Squadron History

Officially designated "The 46th Vast Imperial Starfighter Squadron", Jexxel Squadron was born in the height of the war between the Vast Empire and the Imperial Dominion as part of Captain Wyl Trykon's reformations of the Vast Empire's Navy, and was one of six Squadrons granted the singular honour of being assigned to his personal flagship, as the first of two Space Superiority Squadrons in Blade Wing (which was led by then Lt Commander Seth Qorbin).

With an official specialisation in "Space Superiority", the 46th is very much the product of its founder and leader, the lauded tactical genius CWO Markus Wolfrott. He has drilled the members of the Squadron - which contain a relatively high number of veterans in its ranks - to obey his every order instantly and precisely, forging the Squadron into an extension of his will. This has served them well in simulations, and even during the infamous Battle of Bloodmoon, they were able to bag a few opportunistic kills.

However, during the battle on the asteroid, Gwodd LK Nale, Jexxel was caught unawares. Being so dependent on their SCO led to their ultimate downfall when comm units were rendered useless by the pulsar. Only four members from Jexxel survived: Drax Haren, Lindi Javand, Kenth Tillian, and Dante Vangelos. Due the severe losses, Captain Wyl Trykon majorly reorganized the squadrons, placing Strill's former SXO as the head of Jexxel as well as placing a former Chlovi member as SXO and an officer of high rank as Flight Lead. While the reasoning is unknown, time will only show if placing Makenna Aleshire as SCO was the best option for the broken squadron, or the worst decision that could have been made.

Current Status

46th (Jexxel) Squadron is currently Active with 3 Flights operational. Jexxel is part of Blade Wing, stationed aboard the ISD Adjudicator, with Task Force Aurek of the 2nd Vast Imperial Fleet.

Jexxel is currently a PC squadron.

Name: Makenna "Shrike" Aleshire
Position: Aurek 1 - Squadron Commander
Description: Makenna can be considered a green pilot but with a promotion to SC of Jexxel, she has been forced into a completely new situation. She was born on Bonadan and was eventually kidnapped off the planet by pirates. Instead of killing her, the pirates gave her a rare opportunity to join them. It was when her pirate band was decimated that Makenna joined the VEN. So far she has barely been able to prove her worth, and it shows in the way people act towards her currently. Some have taken to calling her the "Shrike" because of her snappish-ness.


Name: Thorin Eisenberg
Position: Aurek 2 - Flight Member
Description: Fresh out of the academy, Thorin is a young man of insatiable curiosity. When he's not occupied by VE duties, he's usually tinkering with some sort of technology in order to figure out how it works. In conversation, Thorin has issues shutting up, usually leading the conversation into a monologue. However, for all his chatter, he makes up for it in the cockpit. His visual memory has allowed him to copy moves close to perfect the first time around. Unfortunately, while he is great at copying, adapting is another matter all together.


Name: Drax "Shield" Haren
Position: Aurek 3 - Flight Member
Description: Drax is a bit of a quiet leader and one of the four surviving Jexxel members from the Battle of the Sollamens. Though he dislikes Makenna as a leader, he knows better than to speak out against his SC without reason. Overall Drax is like the older brother of the squadron. He fights to defend her name and will even go to certain lengths to prove that Jexxel is indeed a great squadron.


Name: Tamran "Thatcher" Valor
Position: Aurek 4 - Flight Member
Description: Tamran was formerly logged as Thatcher, but in light of the Battle of the Sollamens, Tamran came clean to Makenna about his real name. Overall this man is light-hearted and loves the occasional prank. However, he is not above discipline, and getting on his bad side is not suggested.


Name: Maroy
Position: Besh 1 - Squadron Executive Officer
Description: Maroy is something of a veteran, although far from the best the Navy has to offer. She is extremely unsure of her position as XO, especially given her dissociative disorder, which causes her to change personalities without warning. Her normal personality is fairly calm and friendly, if a bit shy, but her others can get rowdy quite easily.

Name: Lindi Javand
Position: Besh 3 - Flight Member
Description: Lindi is one of the four surviving Jexxel members and she can be described as a woman who holds a grudge. Outside of official VE business, Lindi is a bit of a party girl with a knack for gambling. She also prefers scheming to outright attacks, loving the idea of the VENI and wishing she was a part of it. In a professional setting, Lindi will follow orders in front of superiors, but if she deems the orders to be "dumb" she will consider disobeying.


Name: Kenth "Pup" Tillian
Position: Besh 4 - Flight Member
Description: Kenth is one of the four surviving Jexxel members as well as the youngest of the survivors. Though his loyalties also lie with the deceased Wolfrott, Kenth is more open to change. However, he is impressionable, and Kenth tends to follow those he has come to trust over time. Though the three older vets are pilots of amazing capability, Kenth is somewhat of a prodigy, seeming to have a long streak of beginner's luck.


Name: Demetrius "Hades" Aita
Position: Cresh 1 - Flight Leader
Description: Hades was extremely cunning and quick witted, usually having a sense for danger.. however, he often found himself getting into it due to his love for adventure and his thrill seeking tendencies. He was moody at times, being polite and cold with barely a minute between the attitudes, sometimes alienating his own friends. He had a tendency to be 'grumpy' in the mornings, resulting in a bad mood perpetually throughout the days of the week. He hated drugs, including deathsticks, and made a foolish habit of stealing people's deathsticks and flushing them down the 'fresher. He often spoke sharply to others as his mind followed its train of thought, at times offending people by his accurate insight. Although he had stolen while in the gangs, Hades was no thief; he stole only what was necessary for survival and did not steal from those who had nothing else to live on.

Some people thought of Hades as reckless, if not insane, but that was never clinically proven.


Name: Crim Graff
Position: Cresh 2 - Flight Member
Description: Crim is another member fresh out of the academy. This man prefers numbers and logic to emotional tirades and thus gets frustrated easily when something doesn't seem to make any logical sense. This trait transfers to the cockpit as Crim prefers to make logical assumptions as to what his target will do next rather than to feel out the situation.


Name: Dante Vangelos
Position: Cresh 3 - Flight Member
Description: The last of the four surviving Jexxel members, Dante is a man of passion. He is either hot or cold leaving no room for neutrality. His skills in the cockpit are superior and his idol has always been his now former commander, Markus Wolfrott. After the Battle of Sollamens when Jexxel was torn apart, Dante was also torn apart. Ever since that battle he has been extremely aggressive. In fact, to those who knew him beforehand, he seems to be a very different man.
