Trainee[edit]


A Trainee is one of the newest members of the Vast Empire Navy. They strive to learn as much as they can about how the Vast Empire and its Navy operate and to flesh out their characters in order to qualify as full members of the Navy and join a Squadron.

Flight Member[edit]


Flight Members are the core of the Vast Empire Navy. They constitute the bulk of the Navy's membership. Flight members usually pilot a starfighter into combat. Flight members perform other various duties in non-combat situations.

Flight Leaders'[edit]


A Flight Leader's job is to coordinate a single element of starfighters within a squadron. These elements are called Flights and are the lowest unit of organization within the Vast Empire Navy. Flight Leaders are highly trusted by their Squadron Commander and assist him in his duties. Must be Chief Petty Officer, and have the Senior Aviator's Certification.

Squadron Exec. Officer[edit]


The Squadron Executive Officer is the second in command of a starfighter squadron. He assists the squadron commander in the general administration of the squadron and commands the squadron in his absence. The SXO is also typically a Flight Leader. Must be Chief Warrant Officer or Higher, and Possess the Master Aviator's Certification.

Squadron Commanders'[edit]


The Squadron Commander is the highest authority within a single squadron. Generally one of the most in disposable members of the Vast Empire Navy he endeavors to ensure that his squadron remains active and is duly rewarded for their work. Squadron commanders report to their Wing Commanders and Ship Captains. Must be Second Lieutenant, and pass the Squadron Commander's Exam.

Wing Commander[edit]


A Wing Commander coordinates the efforts of the squadrons under his command. Typically a Wing Commander in the Vast Empire Navy is in command of three squadrons. A wing commander reports to his Ship Captain or, rarely, his Fleet Commander
