Bio

Zak doesn't know where he was born or who his parents are. His earliest memories on being raised in a shelter for orphaned children on Nar Shadda. As no-one knew who Zak was, the shelter named him simply as Zak. The shelter was more of an enforced slave camp as the children were made to work long hours with little to no food.

When Zak was 11 he escaped from the shelter. Starving and with no home to go to, he was forced to steal to make ends meet. As a result he found himself arrested and sent to jail. There he met several nefarious individuals who gave him advice as to how to be a better criminal.

Zak started to smuggle for several of the minor crime syndicates and whilst it saw him by he wondered whether or not there was something better for him out there.

During his time as a smuggler, Zak learned not trust anyone. He also discovered that sleeping was for the dead and slept very little. As a result of this he decided to give himself the name of Nightowl.

The last smuggling run Zak made ended badly. He was arrested and was sentenced to 20 years. Zak didn't think he would survive a term that long. An Imperial Officer visited him in jail and told him of a way out. Joining the Imperial Corps. Zak wasted no time and soon found himself on a shuttle bound for the Corps Academy.
