The Order of the Protectors (originally the Onderon Royal Protectors, and formerly the Order of the Onderon Protectors) are a group of select individuals, hand-picked by Colonel Cayden Tavers himself, who have been charged with defending Onderon from any threat, internal and external, by any means necessary. They were above the law on Onderon, giving them free reign to do as they please with missions, until political tensions between Onderon and Bimmiel forced the Order to flee Onderon and move to Bimmiel permanently. They now serve Bimmiel as the Special Forces division of the Bimmiel Military.

History

EV-1, or Drexl Squad as they are also known, was once a Special Forces team of the Onderon Royal Air Force until Colonel Cayden Tavers had them transferred under his command. He called it "keeping the band together," but the Ruling Council called it "favoritism." EV-1's loyalty has been brought into question over this, but has proved time and time again that they are truly loyal to the Onderon Government and to Cayden.

Angie Tavers

Lt. Col. Angie Tavers is the ship's military advisor from Onderon. She also participates in military campaigns, her team being the flagship team on board (EV-1). Her team usually accompanies Cayden down to planets during missions of great importance. She can usually be found in the cargo hold, preparing her team for their next mission. To her, there is no such thing as a vacation.

Angie is the younger version of her mother, Talia Tavers. She stands at an average 5'5", weighing in at 137lbs, dark brown hair, and green eyes. She wears her hair down to her shoulders usually, but put's it up in a pony tail while on missions. Her skin is similar to that of Cayden's, white w/ a slight tan. She usually wears her battle uniform, the insignia of her team emblazoned on her right shoulder. Angie is very much like her father in every way. She is determined to succeed at everything she does, she rarely backs down from a challenge, strikes at the enemy with a vengeance, and cares about her family very much... to the point where it begins to affect her better-judgement, resulting in her transfer from the SFC to Special Forces. During her time in the Spec. Forces, she began to develop feelings for her #2, Major Avery Jones.

Avery Jones

Major Avery Jones is the ship's history buff. He is fluent in over 30 different languages, and is capable of understanding a dozen more. Aside from ancient history, Jones is known to be a great cook. He can be found either in the ship's kitchen, or in the cargo hold working on some ancient text or artifact.

Lisa Nivix

Captain Lisa Nivix is Onderon's chief Astrophysicist. She is responsible for the modifications to the ship's main reactor, and for the modifications to the weapons, shields, and hyperdrive. She can be found in the cargo hold working on new technology to aid in the war, or the reactor room working on modifying the reactor.

Tamran Overnage

2nd Lieutenant Tamran Overnage is the ship's Quartermaster. He is in charge of maintaining, distributing, and keeping track of every weapon on board the ship. He can be found in the ship's Armory, tinkering with his heavily-modified Mandalorian Heavy Repeater.

History

EV-2, or Lacun Squad, first entered service under Cayden during Onderonian Liberation, and has been working with him ever since.

They were first conceived in the Royal Army Academy, during a training mission between the 5 soldiers, then-2nd Lieutenant Cameron Tavers, then-1st Sergeant Natan Bowman, then-Senior Master Sergeant Peggy Zythor, then-Master Sergeant Cynthia Secura, and then-Technical Sergent Ben Ardmore. The 5 of them would later become the Spec. Forces team of the Royalist Army during the war, due to their actions and contributions during numerous battles. Later, Cam would leave the team to assist his father, placing Natan in command and making Lacun a 4-man team.

Lacun would later temporarily gain a 5th member during Onderonian Liberation in the form of newly-commissioned Colonel Cayden Tavers.

They now serve under Cayden as the second team onboard the Etere Videum, as it's infiltration and assassination team.

Natan Bowman

A Chief Master Sergeant under Cayden's command, Natan is the head of the ship's second recon team, EV-2. He is a close friend of Cayden's from when they were both in the Onderonian Naval Academy. He considers himself a diplomat, though Cayden teases him by calling him the team's "Archaeologist", due to Natan's obsession with all things old, extinct, and buried.

EV-3 is led by 1st Lieutenant Cameron Tavers. They earned the name Derentis Squad during a mission to Vinsoth, where they aided the Chev species achieve freedom from millions of years of slavery.

Derentis Squad was first formed in the aftermath of the Civil War, by executive order of temporary monarch Cayden Tavers (among other things). Initially, there were only 4 members: 1st Lieutenant Cameron Tavers, 2nd Lieutenant Krig Oldin, 2nd Lieutenant Lorianna Coral, and Chief Master Sergeant Rebar Oligard. Their first mission as a team was to the planet of Toprawa, where they attempted to overthrow the Imperial presence there. But, the untimely arrival of High Admiral Torti forced Derentis to leave the planet, failing the mission.

Senior Master Sergeant Alana Oldin temporarily joined the team on it's mission to Vortex, in a successful attempt to overthrow the Imperial stranglehold on the planet. The New Republic came in and helped the emotionless Vors rebuild what was destroyed in the battle. Alana would later join the team on it's mission to Kalee in an attempt gain information from the Imperial Remnant outpost on the whereabouts of High Admiral Torti's base-of-operations. The mission was a failure, though the team (and by extension, Bimmiel) gained the respect and trust of the Imperial Remnant. After the Kalee mission, Cameron formally requested that Alana be transferred to Derentis Squad.

They now serve under Cayden as the third team onboard the Etere Videum, as it's ground assault and support team.

Cameron Tavers

1st Lieutenant Cameron Tavers is the leader of the ships third and final team, EV-3. His team specializes in heavy weapons and demolition, a sign that the missions they're sent on are of great importance. While on the ship, Cam can be found in one of the quad-laser cannon rooms, supervising and assisting in their operation.

Cameron has a more muscular build than his brother Cayden. He stands at a nice 5'7", at 178 lbs of lean muscle, light brown hair, and blue eyes. His eyes aren't as deep as Cayden's are, but his hair is shorter than his brother's. Cameron enjoys wearing the duty uniform of the Etere Videum, his team patch proudly displayed on his right shoulder. Cameron is the soldier-type: helping those only when ordered to. However, ever since he met Senior Master Sergeant Alana Oldin, he has begun to soften up around everyone, even going as far as assisting random people while on missions. He rarely initiates a conversation, but when he does, there is usually a problem between him and the person he is talking to.

Hak'tyl Squad

Background

EV-4, otherwise called the Hak'tyl Squad by the indigenous population of Ilum, are a group of soldiers who's one goal is to put an end to the Imperial threat once and for all.

Formed from the remaining 4 members of the 27th Imperial Stormtrooper Battalion of the Imperial Remnant, Hak'tyl Squad has dedicated their entire existence into helping those who truly deserved to he helped. Their name, "Hak'tyl," means "liberation" in the long dead Ilum language, giving not only meaning to who they are, but also giving hope to those they are aiding.

Loadout

Their gear loadout consists of 4 sets of heavily modified Imperial Cold Assault Trooper Armor, 2 modified DC-15 Blaster Rifles, 1 DC-17M Interchangeable Combat System, 1 BLR-06 Hadra MRL, 4 M32 Combat Knives, 4 7-PrG Proton Grenades, 3 C-22 Fragmentation Grenades, 9 Mk 1 Fragmentation Grenades, and 4 White Phosphorous Grenades.

Corinna Brodi

Lt. Col. Corinna Brodi is the leader of Hak'tyl Squad, and the older sister to Captain Kal Brodi. She is also the Chief Medical Pfficer (CMO) onboard the Etere Videum.

Corinna is a former Stormtrooper in the Imperial Military. She was once a member of the 27th Stormtrooper Battalion, until a mission in which all but four, including herself, were all killed in action. After that botched mission, she decided to take command of the survivors and begin anew... this time, as Hak'tyl Squad. She made it their goal to fight for freedom, justice, and liberty.

Miko Varik

Lt. Col. Miko Varik is a member of Hak'tyl Squad, and is in a relationship with Major Jewel Angavel.

He is the team's vehicle specialist. He can operate pretty much every vehicle ever made, from a simple 74-Z speeder bike to the All-Terrain Armored-Transport. He is also considered the team's "conscience," because he is the one who looks at the morals of everything.

Jewel Angavel

Major Jewel Angavel is the team's explosive and rocketry specialist, and is the girlfriend of Lt. Col. Miko Varik.

Jewel was only on the team for a week before they were sent on the Ilum mission. However, though her time with them was short, she felt like a member of the family after the mission was considered a failure. She is the heart and soul of the team, being the one who always knows how to lighten the mood.

Kal Brodi

Captain Kal Brodi is the final member of Hak'tyl Squad, and is the younger brother of team leader Lt. Col. Corinna Brodi. He is also the Assistant Medical Officer (AMO) onboard the Etere Videum.

Kal is the team's heavy ordnance operator. He can use just about every piece of artillery ever created. Kal never knew the other members of his team existed in the Battalion, but once he did, he was known as the "fun uncle" to Miko and Jewel. He is the strong arm of the team, using his size, strength, and knowledge of artillery to their advantage.

History

Tuk'ata Squad was formed by Cayden in honor of Tuk'ata Squadron in the Vast Empire Navy (on which, Cayden, Stewart, Rocket, and Mehra currently serve). Tuk'ata is the lead team on Bimmiel, performing the missions that most governments would send either a battalion or an entire army to perform, making Tuk'ata the elite of the elite.

Consisting of four VE pilots, Tuk'ata also specializes in space combat. Cayden flies a modified Toscan 8-Q Starfighter, the HMIS Onderonian Freedom, Stewart flies his Cutlass-9 Patrol Fighter, the YOV Starslasher, Rocket flies his ETA-5 Starfighter, and Mehra flies Cayden's TIE/In Interceptor, the HMIS Tuk'atan Frenzy.

When it comes to Deep Space Combat, Cayden commands the Etere Videum, Stewart commands the Longshot (his Firefly-class MidBulk Cruiser), Rocket commands the Maelstrom (his Liberty-class Assault Gunship), and Mehra serves on the Etere Videum as a battery gunner.

Cayden Tavers

Colonel Cayden Tavers.

Colonel Cayden Tavers is the base commander on Bimmiel, the ship commander of the Etere Videum, and the commanding officer of the Order of the Onderon Protectors.

Cayden's hair, a light-brown color, is about an inch long, a little poofy-looking, and as soft as velvet. His eyes are as blue as sapphires. His skin, white it may be, is also slightly tan on the exposed parts. He has no scars, which shows that he has not been in any battles; nor any tattoos, showing he isn't a pirate or bounty hunter. He wears a black vest, black long-sleeve shirt, and black pants tucked into black combat boots.

Cayden is the type of person who likes helping people. He likes to know how people are doing, and if they aren't doing well, he tends to offer any aid he can. But, as a side-effect, his assistance tends to blow-up in his face, either destroying the person he his helping, or destroying his relationship with the person. He doesn't disclose his emotions with people often, only with those closest to him. He respects authority and the Chain of Command, and is a big supporter of the VE Navy. He also does not drink alcohol, or anything that doesn't even resemble a "natural-looking" beverage. He will drink water or, on the rare occasion, Jawa Juice (non-alcoholic variant).

Thel Stewart-Power

Colonel Thel Stewart-Power.

Stewart stands 2.05 meters tall and weighs 75 kilograms. His eyes are light green and his skin navy blue with darker brown horizontal stripes.

Stewart-Power is fairly easy going, but will seize the situation if he needs to. This makes him a good leader, especially when under pressure. He has a hunting background that gives him excellent accuracy, at the cost of decreased me-lee efficiency. Although very loyal, he remains somewhat distant to all those except his closest friends; of which he has few.

Stewart is a Mon Cal, yes, but he is also a very close friend of Cayden's, making him the right candidate for being not only a member of the Order of the Onderon Protectors, but also his #2 on Tuk'ata Squad.

Rocketman

Rocketman has a slight build; two features that people can recognize: scar the runs form his right eye to his chin and long hair that runs down to his knees in a ponytail.

Is mostly cool headed most of the time but when it comes to talking bad about his family he will defend his family's honor if he has to. He does not like to fight but if provoked he will dish it out. He will usually try to avoid the fight by trying to talk to the person first. He wants to restore the Empire. After the events of Lehon, Rocket isolated himself so the he would't go though the same pain that he went though the following days after, he also will not get to know people like he used to.

Rocket is one of Cayden's flight mates, making three Tuk'ata Gamma Flight pilots in the Protector Tuk'ata Squad.

Mehra Frei

Mehra Frei is strong-willed, clever, and perceptive. She is a great fighter and strategist and mostly keeps to herself, but can be friendly and talkative around those she knows, and when the situation allows for it. Her years as a slave made her cautious, and she does not trust others easily. She is level-headed, and prefers to solve a challenge without blood. She is extremely skilled in stealth and infiltration, things she picked up as a smuggler. She is quick on her feet and a deadly opponent when she must fight, but she does not enjoy killing like most smugglers. She can fix just about anything, and her sarcasm knows no bounds. Despite being very independent, Mehra knows when to follow orders and when to keep her mouth shut. She strives to excel at anything she does.

Everything about her frame is slim and elegant. To counteract this, Mehra trains regularly and has the muscle and attitude to prove she can hack it. However, she does like to play to her more feminine side at times, and takes advantage of her figure and Twi'lek beauty when she needs to. Everything she wears (That is not Navy Uniform) is tight-fitting, belted, and often leather. (But suitable enough for utility, such as fighting or generally getting messy.)

Special Personnel

Shaka

Shaka.

Shaka is a blue-grey HK-series Assassin Droid with blue photoreceptors, purchased by Cayden on one of his visits to Abrae. Shaka is the ships droid commander. He oversees the maintenance and operation of the astromech droids. He answers directly to Cayden and no one else, holds respect for few, and has no patience for inefficiency. He battles often with Ashley and Cayden about the morals and ethics behind their actions. Shaka can be found in the cargo hold, 'patrolling the area' he so often tells anyone who asks what he is doing.

Shaka is specialized in espionage, assassination, infiltration, stealth, intelligence, counter-intelligence, reconnaissance, search & rescue, and basic protocol functions. He refers to all organics as "meatbags", as per the programming of the original HK-47 unit from the Jedi Civil War owned by Darth Revan. However, he has a measurable loyalty to his master, and has been programmed that he doesn't know the crew of the Etere Videum as "meatbags", but as fellow crew members, and calls them by their respective names and ranks.

Projects

Omega Project

The Omega Project was desinged when Colonel Rocketman first came into the VEN, but due to lack of funding, and the R+D Department not needing anything new to work on he put it away and continued working on it. After he joined the Protectors Rocketman brought the idea to Colonel Cayden Tavers, which after looking at all of the designs, and comparing the funding that it would take to start up it was deiced that the project would be given the go ahead.

After awhile Rocketman was able to use the technology that was on hand to design the first of the five weapon systems for the Omega Project. The Omega-001 Project has two variants for it, and is still in the testing stages, the second weapon is being designed also, but it will come at a later time.

The Omega Project testing platforms are the two Liberty-class Assault Gunships: the Maelstrom and the Sandstorm.

Omega-001A

Omega-001A Codenamed "Titan" is a projectile missile type weapon it uses tiny Ion bombs 10,000 of them to be precise. The point of it is to create a hole in the enemy's shields, using a blanketing effect. It has been developed by Rocketman and the R+D Department on Bimmiel for the Order of the Onderon Protectors.

Omega-001B

Omega-001B Codenamed "Leviathan" is a projectile missile type weapon it uses tiny thermal detonators 10,000 to be precise to cause hull damage to ships. The best way to use it is after the "Titan" has been used. It has been developed by Rocketman and the R+D Department on Bimmiel for the Order of the Onderon Protectors.
