Biography[edit]

Appearance[edit]

Sayree Kazhos is a Zygerrian: a Near Human specimen with certain feline features. A thin golden - light brown layer of fur covers most of her body, her ears are larger and better than a regular Human's and she also has a few small horn protuberances on her forehead. She has ice blue eyes that usually appear quite cold and even scary. She also prefers looser and more comfortable clothing, often more revealing as well...

Personality[edit]

Best word to describe Sayree is selfish, followed by dangerous a short distance away. Everything the woman does or doesn't do is related to whether or not she'll have something to gain out of it.

She can quickly assess a situation and immediately afterward act in such a way that she too would end up on the winning side.

She is a sore loser and generally a bad sport as well. She's neither the sort to play by any set of rules, nor is she really the sort to get along fine with others in the first place.

As a fighter pilot she is fierce and dangerous, many times recklessly so, by choosing to go after as many targets as possible. Whether this has something to do with her lineage or her own individual nature is unknown however.

Although she has a moral compass, being able to tell the difference between right and wrong, she is not particularly opposed to doing something most would consider wrong - again, only as long as she would stand to gain something from it. And she usually does...

History[edit]

Born and raised on Zygerria, Sayree grew up learning and following the old Zygerrian traditions, including her people's take on slavery. As far as she was concerned, the galaxy was divided into two very different groups - those that were strong enough to do what they pleased and those that weren't. The latter were thus merely a waste of space and resources so why not try and find an use for them in that case? Especially if other species would be willing to pay for such specimens.

Endless servitude, forced labor, research subjects, sex slavery, sentient sacrifices - the purpose that the captured slaves would be used for did not in the least concern Kazhos. If they were too weak to stand up for themselves then they deserved whatever fate they would end up facing at the hands of their new masters... And if their capture also happened to fill Sayree's pockets then all the better.

The woman quickly rose through the Slavers Guild's ranks, her ambition and dedication neighboring the realm of over-zealousness. As time passed she began reveling in her new found power and reputation - a reputation of both being one of the best slavers in her slice of the galaxy as well as being one of the most dangerous ones too. Whoever did not immediately surrender upon being asked to do so was swiftly, but also quite painfully, put down and made an example for others. During her career as a slaver, Sayree had made quite a lot of examples...

During one routine slave run, her prey managed to send a distress call before their freighter was boarded and incapacitated. It was the Vast Empire Navy that responded to that call and a fierce skirmish occurred when they jumped in the system. Her allies fought bravely by her side until they realized that their odds were quickly diminishing. They chose to abandon their newly caught slaves and instead jump away to safety.

Sayree Kazhos did not however retreat. She stayed behind and fought against the larger and better equipped Vast Imperial forces. Even outmanned and outgunned, the Zygerrian slaver still managed to take down a flight's worth of Imperial pilots. She would've tried taking out more had her fighter not given out on her at the worst possible time.

Sayree was caught, trialed and imprisoned for what was to last her entire remaining life. That though did not happen. A couple of years in her sentence she received a visit from a blond Human male asking her what she would do for the chance of once more getting out. Of once more stepping in a fighter's cockpit and once more killing others and in so doing making a name for herself. Anything was the woman's reply - a reply that seemed to also please her visitor as well... Within days she was released and forcibly enrolled into the Vast Empire's Navy. Not only that but her first task after being sprung out was to actually lead a squadron of Imperial pilots. The irony was not lost to the Zygerrian female...

After surviving that particular battle the woman was further transferred to another squadron, and another after that, both times serving under the same CO - the same blond Human that had granted back her freedom in the first place, Seth Qorbin. Although she still missed her old habits, at least she could draw conform in knowing that she was still feared and respected - and in some ways those were the very things she ever sought anyway... When Qorbin got his own ship, the Zygerrian chose to follow him as well. Why? Because during their stay together she had learned that the man was in some ways even more twisted, dangerous and cruel than she tried to appear... and she found there was a certain appeal to that.
