Biography[edit]

Appearance[edit]

Tall, slim and fairly good looking too. Athletic yet still quite very feminine at the same time. Stylish and elegant regardless of what Aria decides to wear - casual clothes, a standard uniform or a barely customized flight suit. She has silky auburn hair, deep brown eyes and full lips. She tends to exercise on a daily basis and usually prefers wearing casual, comfortable clothing.

Personality[edit]

Funny and easygoing, Aria Zane has no problem befriending those around her. In all the past squadrons that she has served in, she was always one of the most liked members. Trusted too as she was known both to keep secrets as well as help out whenever she was asked to.

She is also a very loyal individual, going as far as to endanger her career for the sake of keeping another's friendship.

She's likewise pretty smart and fairly quick in dealing with various problems - be those problems combat related whilst in the field, interpersonal during her free time or administrative in nature... as was often the case when she served as XO for both the Nightshrikes as well as the Razors.

She has a complicated sense of right and wrong, one that does not necessarily fully align with that of a supposedly civilized society's.

History[edit]

A former freighter pilot, Aria Zane joined the Navy after deciding she wanted something more exciting in her life. She easily graduated Flight School and was moved to one of the Vast Empire's squadrons. Thanks to both her skills as well as general attitude, it wasn't long before she was up for a promotion. And then another. And another still after that...

She was a Chief Petty Officer in Nightshrike squadron when she first met her newest Squadron Commander, Seth Qorbin. The man held a lesser rank and had no experience whatsoever leading a squadron yet High Command still awarded him the position as a result of the terrorist attack that crippled all Naval leadership. Like the rest of the squadron, Aria too was skeptical... yet unlike some of the other members, she did not shy away from the new arrival. Although she did not agree with him being in charge she also did not intend to sabotage him or anything of the sorts.

She proved herself quite mature when she not only welcomed Qorbin but also showed him the ropes as far as the other squadron members were concerned. Thanks to this and also given her piloting skills as well, she was appointed Squadron XO. It was a position she kept whilst serving as part of the Razors but not one she maintained during her service as a Vornskr member as well. She still made Flight Leader in the latter anyway, which was still an impressive feat given the quality of that squadron's pilots...

She came very close to being considered a deserter when she followed Seth Qorbin on his revenge trip... and as before she also proved very useful to have around though. When the blond Onderonian CO finally asked his squadron which of them would be willing to transfer over to his newly provided ship, Aria Zane was the first to enlist. If nothing else, being around Qorbin seemed to provide her with plenty of excitement and that was the very thing she sought all along.

The new position aboard the Unchained ended up suiting Aria quite well too. Rules were generally more lax and discipline not enforced as strongly as on other military vessels. The fact that she was a friend of the Captain also had various perks as well...
