Cold to everyone, doesn't let anyone close to her, loner, enjoys fighting and hurting others.

If someone said "hi" to her, her most likely first reaction is make a cutting remark about them...assuming she can bother to say anything at all.

Insubordinate? Depends on one's definition of insubordinate; if she respects a superior's ability, she'll follow that superior without a second thought. If, on the other hand, that superior displays even the slightest hint of incompetence...respect turns to contempt and disobedience as quickly as jumping to lightspeed.

At the same time, she just wants to belong and to have someone she can be close to...but...her past just won't let her, it all just hurts too much, so she pushes away.

History

Delia refuses to discuss her past, and Vast Empire databanks have little information on her homeworld, located on the fringes of the space claimed by the VE.

She was born into a nightmare of abuse on Vagnar. Her mother died in childbirth, leaving her at the mercy of her spice addict father, a being who throughly enjoyed the power he had over his daughter...enough said on that subject.

He did whatever he had to do to support his habit, mainly involving "renting" Delia out to whoever had a use for her...she finally ran away at the age of thirteen, full of anger and hatred, which she applied to her first love...flying, mainly airspeeders, as the remote world she was forced to call home had only the barest minimum of interstellar contact...she hired herself out to whoever was willing to pay, both as a pilot and blaster for hire, earning a reputation both for her growing skills and her ruthlessness.

At eighteen she got into a brawl with the son of the planet's Imperial governor, Fozius Clegg, in some run-down cantina in Snugarbor, the planet's only starport, after she saw him manhandling a Twi'lek slave girl. In the ensuing struggle, she shoved the barrel of her blaster pistol into his gut and fired three bolts at point-blank range, bringing him to his knees before stormtroopers from the local garrison managed to arrest her.

Ordered by Clegg to condemn her to the penal colony of Blackrock, the planet's chief Imperial magistrate saw the potential she had, suspending her life sentence and assigning her to the Vast Empire Navy's starfighter corps.
