Current status
Stormtrooper Corps
- Riqimo has had a long and distinguished service within the Corps, but has returned to civilian status.
Imperial Nobility
- Riqimo is the Duke of the Aaclu region on Tadath, an area encompassing about 300 square kilometers (approximately 74,000 acres). Although rarely actually on site, Riqimo greatly enjoys the region situated with the scenic view of the Pegul mountain range south of the capitol city. His estate is typically empty and maintained by a minimal staff, the grounds populated by over a thousand Nunas that he had obtained through an accidental delivery and hasn't quite figured out what to do with them just yet.
- The common people that Riqimo presides over live primarily in one town composing of a population of a mere 600. Needless to say, Riqimo doesn't generate much revenue in tax from the locals, so he allows them to keep their hard earned credits. Instead he encourages the small town to be a center of tourism, and has averaged approximately 100,000 Imperial Credits a month from taxing tourists that come to see the natural beauty of the region.

Riqimo at a Glance
- Credo - Riqimo lives by a set of principles and will not deviate from them without a damn good reason. And sometimes not even then! He will never leave a man behind, and will always defend a lady’s honor. Not only are these principles likely to get him in trouble (especially the latter), people who know him sometimes can use his predictable behavior against him.
- Friends in Low Places - Riqimo has contacts ranging from money launderers, fencers, thieves, cartel bosses, counterfeiters, and the like. They can set him up with jobs, tip him off to the latest word on the street, and offer Riq the first-buy on recently smuggled items. Sometimes there’s honor among thieves, but Riqimo knows it is best not to assume anything.
- Leadership - Riqimo is practically the incarnate of inspiration to others. People look to him in a crisis. He is able to motivate those around him and encourage them to do what needs to be done.
- Lightening Reflexes - Riq reacts to danger quickly. Folks rarely get the drop on him. In a quick-draw contest, Riqimo’s gun is often out before the other fellow can find his holster.
- Little Person - Riq has been called vertically challenged, dwarf, midget, small-fry – he’s heard them all. He stands about chest-high at best compared to most folks. On the bright side, he’s a smaller target in the crosshairs. With the proper disguise, he might be able to buy the Kid’s Meal at the local restaurant.
- Loyal - Most folks known to Riq can count on him no matter what — be they squadmates, former smuggling buddies, or childhood friends. He will do anything for their well-being, even it means going the extra mile... short of sacrificing his own life to help and protect them (and he might even do that).
- Moneyed Individual - Riqimo is loaded. Not only does he have a nice chunk of change on hand, he’s got cash tucked away and rolling in on a regular basis from well invested stocks. He doesn’t sport a wealthy lifestyle, but he doesn’t spare any expense when he’s off-duty.
- Non-Fighting Type - Riqimo doesn’t believe in solving disputes through violence — in fact he was once pacifist and refused to carry a weapon at all. He is usually only willing to engage in violence only under the most dire of circumstances, and then he usually resorts to non-lethal means, aiming to disable.
- Straight Shooter - Normally considered a virtue, honesty is not always the best policy—especially in diplomacy, business, or barrooms... Riqimo speaks the truth without regard for other people’s feelings, or the circumstances involved. He might consider telling a falsehood only in dire emergencies, and often the lie is written all over his face.
- Things Don't Go So Smooth - Lady Luck hates Riq’s guts. For as long as he can remember, things never have gone smooth for him. Bad luck just follows him around, coincidences never work in his favor. He’s still alive though, but that luck may just be about out.
- Traumatic Flashes - Life would be a fair sight more convenient without the horrible dreams and visions that overtake Riqimo on occasion. These flashes might be residual memories of a traumatic incident from his past, messages from a disturbed conscience, or horrible recurring nightmares. He doesn’t even always know what will trigger them, but they frequently leave him shaken and unsettled.
Languages
Riqimo has an ear for languages and can learn a new one with remarkable ease. He can pick up specific dialects and recreate accents with little effort. This talent helps him blend in with many of the locals no matter where he may wind up.

Bio
Appearance & Personality
- Riqimo Pershaw's short height gives him a perfect Napoleon complex, he is almost constantly trying to prove to everyone that his height means nothing. His light brown hair is kept fairly long, sometimes preventing people from gaining a clear view of the man's intentions in his blue-green eyes. Riqimo tends to keep to himself, however he easily forms close bonds with people he sees frequently. An intellectual with a daredevil attitude, Riqimo puts himself in extremely dangerous situations before he would even consider placing his troopers in a position that they might trip over their own feet. An amateur painter, Riqimo often spends his off duty time with a canvas and set of brushes.
- His past has a tendency to catch up with him at the worst moments in flashbacks and reflective thoughts as seen in Blood Money:
- Riqimo had fallen so many times he could not count them anymore. Each time he fell it got easier and easier to let himself plunge into those depths of despair, but the climb back up towards hope grew longer and more arduous. He had to scrabble and fight and will himself back up that slippery slope. Or maybe he just grew more and more reluctant to make the journey. That was the real danger, wasn't it? One day he might fall and never fight his way back up again, believing he was saving himself another fall, a harder fall. That was his greatest fear; it was the voice that kept him awake in the night.
- Although the former morals that prevented Riqimo from killing any sentient are not as strong as they were before Tormar, Riqimo still has these beliefs linger, especially when he either has killed, or is preparing for a mission that requires him to kill. Seen in a diary entry during Proving Grounds:
- I do not know how much longer I can keep up this image of the perfect Imperial... Sometimes I feel as though I should have been born as someone else, or done something different at some point in my life. Instead, I've spent this entire time trying to please my superiors, and at the same time pushing them away. Frak, I never realized how screwed up I was until the other day. We are heading to Lotiath, and it just suddenly hit me while I was sitting in the shuttle. Every day, that urge just keeps growing. Sometimes I just want to run away from it all, stop being the bad guy. I hate that role, the big bad Stormtrooper. Frell, all I wanted to do was help people. Kind of went the wrong way with that one. God, I should really stop writing this stuff. If Kai or Riz find it, or even Jell, then the Empire will charge me with treason. Everyone knows what happens to those people. No, now I have to sit and act the part of a proper Imperial soldier...
History
Early History
“ | My heart is dark and full of things I don't understand, my past always has a way of haunting me. | ” |
—Riqimo Pershaw |
- Born to Tomet and Dena Pershaw, a smuggler couple, on Nar Shaddaa, Riqimo Pershaw was perhaps the farthest he could be from a noble idea. He quickly developed a passion for life, seeing death and murders across the galaxy while traveling with his parents. The young human would question many of his parent's violent decisions, and they would grow increasing agitated with their son's pacifism.
Smuggling Days
- Once his family left him at the age of 16, Riqimo was forced to become a smuggler on his own with an YT-2400 freighter he christianed the Goden Davk.
- On fateful one day, Riqimo would literally bump into Brighstar and the two would manage smuggling runs together. Later they would get a little ambitious and steal the precious family jewels of a Hutt on Nar Shaddaa, which would put them on the run from a bounty hunter named Ryan Kiba.
Vast Empire Army
“ | I'm not a philosopher. I don't know how to answer questions that have no answers. I told you I would serve, I'm just not willing to kill anybody. I won't train myself to kill. I won't pretend that I'm a killer. I can't. It's against everything I know. | ” |
—Riqimo Pershaw |
- After escapade after escapade, Riqimo would become stranded on Ando Prime, his ship beyond repair, and in the last jump he had lost Brightstar. Knowing that he would be safest in Imperial space, he smuggled himself onto a transport bound for Tadath and became a citizen there.
- The Vast Empire Army would acquire a need for new recruits and in less than a year will draft Riqimo Pershaw, who found a job at a local droid shop. Morally opposed to killing, Riqimo applies for conscientious objector status. Denial after denial, he would finally become a medic with his persistence, and then be deployed to Tormar.
Vast Empire Stormtrooper Corps
“ | Winning is staying alive! Staying alive is firepower! It is simply and totally about firepower gentlemen. When the shit hits the fan, you’re gonna have a lot more of our shit in the fucking air than their shit in the fucking air. | ” |
—David 'Buttshot' Riley |
- Through pure self defense, Riqimo would make his 'first' kill, and although it still haunts him, he realized that without a weapon he was indeed a burden in the harsh firefights. Recognition of his efforts is noticed by a certain Stormtrooper Squad Leader, David 'Buttshot' Riley of Cavalier Squad, who gets the medic into the Stormtrooper Corps and his squad.
- Still on Tormar, Riqimo would serve with this squad until he was transferred to a newly created Eclipse Squad as a Trooper. In this squad, he would find numerous moments to shine and after the first 'real' mission, he found himself the Assistant Squad Leader. Only several missions later, the Squad Leader, Garet Daimun, would retire, leaving the Eclipse Squad Leader position to the medic.
- During his ASL time, Riqimo was also initiated into ARC Team Delta, and now finds himself working with ARC Team Lambda as the Lead. While in this position, he witnessed a growing relationship with another trooper.

Personal Life
- As his personality tends to cut him off from most people, he seems distant. But as he grows to know to someone he sees frequently, usually someone he works with, Riqimo easily forms close bonds.
Brightstar
- Riqimo's first actual 'friend' that he truly trusted, Brightstar was met purely by chance in an accidental run-in. She was on the run from something that Riq respected her enough not to ask, and he quickly became the gateway to her traveling the Galaxy and experiencing freedom that Riqimo enjoyed as a freelance smuggler.
