Bio[edit]

Appearance[edit]

Eosel is a tall yet slim Kel Dor, who tends to loom over others as he speaks, regardless of whether they are his inferiors or superiors. Like all his race, Eosel has to wear a breath-mask in oxygen environments, and his is a stylised steel and kept to a polished shine. This only serves to enhance his rather intimidating appearance.

Personality[edit]

Eosel is a firm and plainly spoken individual, owing to his personal feelings of honesty. Like many Kel Dor, Eosel was raised with a keen sense of justice and honour, and this has translated well into an intense dedication to the Vast Empire. He takes his duty to the Navy very seriously, sometimes too much so, and this has led to his fellow personnel viewing him as humourless, and devoid of a life outside his job.

History[edit]

Eosel grew up on Dorin during the height of the Empire, and grew enamoured with it as a model of justice and order. As he entered adulthood he actively sought a position in the Empire, but found the discrimination against his non-human heritage too great. Discouraged, but still desiring a life serving law enforcement, Eosel signed up to serve in a planetary militia on a world that would, after the Battle of Endor, come to be part of Vast Empire space. Finally finding an Empire committed to the justice he desired and accepting of aliens, he eagerly signed up.

Following his graduation from the Academy, Eosel served two tours aboard the IMP II Fearless. He served with dedication, though did not really shine in the eyes of his superiors until the Second Battle of Belgaroth (where the VE were involved in a three-way battle with the New Republic and Imperial Remnant). During a hull breach, Eosel acted to save the lives of several other crewmen, earning him the Merit Cross 2nd Class.

Further dedicated service saw Eosel rise quickly to a Junior Bridge Officer, and then finally selected as First Officer of the training vessel LCR Courage.

Vagen proved himself well under the command of Pherik Zail. Zail took Eosel with him to serve as his XO on first the CR90 Defiance, and then on the VSD Brilliant. It was there that, during a break out by an Imperial Dominion prisoner known as Sval Heysh, Vagen was killed. He died in the arms of Captain Zail, who mourned his loss deeply. Following the end of the war with the Imperial Dominion, Vagen was given a full military funeral with honours.
