Merit Cross

Criteria
The basic merit award of the Vast Empire Navy, it can be awarded for any outstanding service. This medal has two classes, with first class being a higher honor than second class, but is not an upgrade to the second class. This medal can be awarded by Flight Leaders. Any and all recommendations for this decoration must include an Action Report.

Description
The Merit Cross is a small medal. The two wide black pieces of metal have a thin silver lining and a thin gold strip down the middle. The metal is crossed in the shape of an X. The two classes of Merit Cross can be distinguished by the small gold cluster affixed to the middle of the First Class award. The ribbon is imperial blue.
